Mark is a sales and marketing specialist who spent his first 20 years of corporate life working with the largest retailers in the country. After years of promotions and required relocations, he left the Homelite Division of John Deere as a Director, National Accounts and decided to forego the corporate life to remain in Chapel Hill where he began his real estate career over 25 years ago.
Working with the largest real estate company in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill region, he quickly established himself as an effective and successful real estate professional, garnering awards from the Triangle Business Journal as a TOP 25 Realtor in the triangle area with over 8,000 members.
When he met the love of his life he left North Carolina for Boulder, CO and was finally able to get more time on the ski slopes and more importantly, be closer to his daughter, who coincidentally moved to Boulder at the same time from NYC. Apparently his years of home renovations and DIY abilities rubbed off on her and she is now an award winning interior designer with a top architectural firm in Boulder. However, he still maintained his Broker license in NC so he could continue to assist friends and family when they had real estate needs.
A few years later, life took a dramatic turn. By taking a 23 and Me test, his partner found out that her ancestral DNA was meant to be closer to sea level, and that is why she never quite felt right at the 5,000+ ft levels in CO. At the same time she was talking to an old friend about writing another NYT best selling book, so the plan was made to move to Brevard, NC for a year.
That one year plan is now a lifetime dream come true. Brevard is now the forever home, and Mark decided to bring his 25+ years of real estate experience to White Squirrel Realty so he can assist anyone with an interest in buying or selling residential property.
